The International Education Program: Outreach

The International Education Program is a Taipei City government supported program that involves 6 volunteering high school students from America working to teach 27 elementary school students at Minquan Elementary School in Taiwan about the daily lives of American teens using English through Seesaw, an interactive online platform.

Volunteer Details

Volunteer Requirements:
(1) A high school student living in the U.S.
(2) Skills in reading, communicating, and writing with children

Volunteer Details:

- Volunteers will be teaching a total of 25 elementary school students through online meetings and providing feedback (5 students grouped for each volunteer)

- Volunteers will be communicating with the students primarily through SeeSaw, a learning platform app, and will be assigned a student teacher role over the students in that class. Volunteers will be invited to join the class as a student teacher before the program starts (recommended that volunteers take some time getting used to SeeSaw)

- Volunteers will be required to provide feedback for the students in English through Seesaw

- Volunteers of the program will be able to choose the curriculum they want to teach the elementary school students
