The 2023 Taiwan English Summer Camp
During the summer of 2023, Mini Libraries hosted an English speaking summer camp held and funded by the Taipei City Government in Minquan Elementary School, recruiting 7 high school students from all across the U.S., from California, Georgia, New Jersey, and Florida, to volunteer at the summer camp. Additionally, the volunteers helped donate over 100 books to the school. The goal of the summer camp was to help young students, from grades 4-6, from economically disadvantaged Taipei families by helping them learn English in an English-speaking environment.

About (Important!):

The volunteer campaign will be divided into two parts: Session 1 and Session 2

Each Session will bring around 40 hours, so in total, you will receive 80 hours of volunteer hours

You can sign up for Session 1, Session 2, or both

Volunteers will need to work starting from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Volunteers will need to lead 5 students during the camp. This is an English summer camp, so we’ll need volunteers to mostly speak English during the camp to help students practice oral speaking

If you have any spare books, then please consider bringing them to the elementary schools to donate
